Programme

The Master’s programme consists of 120 ECTS divided into:
66 ECTS object-based practical in the chosen specialisation
36 ECTS interdisciplinary courses such as Science, Preventive Conservation
18 ECTS Master thesis

The academic year within the Faculty of Humanities of the University of Amsterdam is divided into two semesters. Each semester is divided into three ‘blocks’. The first two blocks of each semester consist of eight weeks; the third block is four weeks.

The two-year programme is constructed as follows:

Please note that Master students will have to purchase study materials, personal tools and equipments. Moreover, one should take into account travel costs for attending symposia and work on location. The general estimate of costs per year is: € 650,-
