The 120 ECTS Master in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage can best be described as a programme that aims to combine specialised knowledge and skills with the interdisciplinary approach required within the broad field of conservation assessment and decision-making. An interdisciplinary approach towards complex decision-making processes ensures an attitude of critical reflection regarding scholarly activities and decisions made to ensure the safekeeping of cultural heritage.
A student who has completed the two-year Master’s programme has received an allround education in the field of Conservation. However, to become an independent practising conservator-restorer requires successful completion of the two-year Post-Master’s programme.
